
Bridie Taylor is an accomplished music educator, pianist, and director with a lifelong passion for inspiring others through music. A graduate of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music with a Bachelor of Music Education, Bridie has spent over two decades sharing her expertise with students across all ages and stages of life. Her teaching career has taken her across a wide range of educational settings—from leading music programs in Sydney’s independent and Catholic schools to international experience in London.
Bridie has taught music to students aged 2 to 80, and is a strong advocate for holistic, inclusive, and engaging music education. She draws on both Kodály and Orff methodologies to create dynamic musical experiences that emphasise creativity, musical literacy, and joy. A highly experienced piano teacher, Bridie has been playing for nearly 40 years and continues to find deep fulfilment in making and sharing music.
For 10 years, she owned and operated her own successful music school, where she and her team provided high-quality music education to over 600 students in 3 separate Sydney locations. In addition to her work in the classroom and studio, Bridie has been repetiteur and pianist for more than a dozen musical theatre productions, and she regularly directs and musically leads school musicals, often serving as director, musical director, pianist, and everything in between.
Bridie’s greatest joy comes from seeing the spark of excitement and confidence that music brings to her students’ lives. She is deeply committed to nurturing a lifelong love of music in every learner she works with.
