Mini Maestros is a great introcution to music for children 3-5 years. Music at this age is social and fun with children learning rhthym and song, percussion and movement. At 4-5 our mini maestros may graduate into group lessons and begin focussing on learning a specific instrument.Â
As children get older their music needs change ad our mini maestros may graduate into small group lessons focusing on learning a specific instrument such as violin, piano, woodwind or ukulele. beginning to learn and instrument before strting school helps children in getting ready for structure at school, it builds confidence and supercharges their brains ready for school. learning an instrument improves fine motor skills and activates language functions in the brain.Â
Individual lessons of 20 minutes are recommended for children 5 and over. As they are approaching school starting to show an instrest in a specific instrument it can be good to start short individual lessons. teachers running group lessons will indicate to parents if group lessons would be suitable for your child.Â

We acknowledge the traditional Custodians of this Land, where the Aboriginal People have performed age-old ceremonies of storytelling, music, dance and celebration. As a traditional meeting place, many first nations peoples came to this region. Underneath our buildings and roads this Land always will be traditional Aboriginal Land. in the same way, all music making genres and practices come from our musical elders, so we acknowledge those on whose skills and wisdom we draw.
