TUITION FEES
When you enrol you are reserving time with a teacher for the provision of music lessons. Students are accepted for enrolment on the understanding that fees are paid in advance each term.
1. Term fees are payable in advance upon commencing lessons. Where there are planned absences of teachers you only be invoiced for the lessons we expect to deliver. Invoices are usually issued during term break for the following term. Â
2. Where the teacher’s times are booked and the student cancels or is unavailable for lessons, no refunds or credits will be given.Â
3. Where a teacher is unable to deliver a lesson, Make up lessons will be offered during week 10.
4. The CEO may also offer a credit for compassionate reasons – eg a prolonged illness, accompanied by a doctor’s certificate. Credits are not available for absences due to vacations or similar occurrences which are under your control. However, you may withdraw from lessons with two weeks notice and re-enrol on your return. Lesson time cannot be Guaranteed in this instance.Â
5. Where fees are outstanding late fees apply, unless you have made a payment plan with us and payments are up to date.
6. If fees remain outstanding a suspension policy applies.
7. If fees remain outstanding and debt collection activities are required additional fees will apply.
ENSEMBLES AND GROUPS
Ensembles and Groups are offered at a lower price on a ‘per term’ basis. Â Credits are not normally available for these enrolments. While we aim to provide 9 sessions per term – Plus any concerts – your bill does not change if there are more or less sessions than usual. Â For mid-term enrolments from week 5 onwards, a 50% discount is offered in the first term
PAYMENT OPTIONS
Payment options include:
In Person: Eftpos or Credit Card over the counter between 2-5pm weekdays. Cash payments can be accept but must be the correct money as no cash is held on the premises.
Online: Creditcard, Bank Deposit or PaypalÂ
Payment Plan: Paypal pay in 4 or contact the office to arrange. Â
MISSED CLASSES AND MAKE UP LESSONS
If the teacher is unable to give a lesson, “make-up” times will be offered in you existing lesson time in week 10 of the term. If a teacher has an unforeseen extended absence either a suitable teacher will be provided or credits will be applied at the end of the term.Â
• Where a student is unavailable for classes or fails to attend, credits are not available.
• Where a teacher is unavailable a make-up lesson will be offered at the same time in week 10.
• If there are extra lessons missed by the teacher 2 additional make up times will be offered, if neither of these is suitable a credit may not be applied.Â
Where a student is going to be absent for an extended period you can either continue to reserve the time (and pay fees) or cancel the enrolment and re-enrol at a later date (without a guarantee of the same time being available to you). Two weeks notice is required/billed.
If a student fails to attend classes and has not withdrawn, none of the fees will be refunded or credited. There is a CEO discretion for serious and compassionate circumstances.
WITHDRAWAL OR CANCELLATION
There is a minimum two-week notice for withdrawals or changes in lesson time. For example, if you withdraw at the end of the term for the next term, there is no fee. If you don’t tell us until the start of term – when a teacher has already been reserved for you – you will be billed for the first 2 weeks. The same applies to cancellations during the term.
SUSPENSION FOR ARREARS
1. We expect fees to be paid by the due date. Payment plans are available at any time but unless a payment plan has been set up late fees will apply.Â
2. If you do no have a payment plan or you do not keep up with your payments tuition will be suspended.Â
3. If arrears remain outstanding enrolment and re-enrolment will not be permitted until the fees are paid in full.
